Buddha was born in Lumbini which is one of the four most sacred
site in the Buddhist pantheon.  For over two decades, the Nepali
Government has been encouraging the establishment of Buddhist
institutions in Lumbini both nationally and internationally.  They
aspire to commemorate the sacredness of this site, hence allow
Buddhadharma to flourish there, supporting the remembrance of
Buddha for generations and eons to come.

As Gyalpo Rinpoche has wished to establish a monastery at the
holy sight of Lumbini, in February 2004, in further recognition of
Ven. Gyalpo Rinpoche's success in raising the standard of living
and management of thousands of monasteries, the Nepali
Government granted a piece of land for building a monastery at the
    holy place of Lumbini.
"May the teachings, which are the sole medicine for suffering
and the origin of every joy, be materially supported and honoured
    and they may abide forever."

    -Shantideva
To fulfill the vision of our lineage gurus and preserve
Buddhadharma for many years to come, establishing a monastery
in Lumbini is essential.  Therefore, a monastery representing the
Karma Kagyu Lineage is being built on this piece of sacred land.

Assisting in the construction of this important Monastery would
confer tremendous blessing and merit, therefore, for the benefit of
all devotees of the Dharma, Ven. Gyalpo Rinpoche is building a
meditation centre in Lumbini, the holy place, where Shakyamuni
    Buddha was born.

Please support the construction of the Karma Samten Ling
Monastery in Lumbini, for the sake of all sentient beings your
offering would serve the source of inexhaustible peace, happiness
and liberation of all suffering beings.
