Functions and Purpose of the Monastery
Bringing together Lamas, disciples, pilgrims and visitors from
different parts of the world to share experience of the Supreme Buddhadharma
would allow the Buddhist teachings to propagate throughout the world.
The construction of Karma Samten Ling Monastery Lumbini on the 6,400 sq. metres
land consists of three main buildings.  They are the main hall, the monastic college
and the retreat centre together with visitors’ quarters.

Endowed with tremendous compassion and wisdom, Ven. Gyalpo Rinpoche is
determined to build not only a Monastery, but a monastic college and an
international Buddhist centre at the same time.  This would serve to provide
monastic education for those in need.  The Monastery  would also serve as a
gathering and assembly place for Lamas to hold Monlam, a great prayer service
    attended by thousand of Lamas.

It is also Rinpoche's earnest intention to provide pilgrims and visitors who come to
the holy sight with more access to Buddhism by means of giving Buddhist teachings,
guidance, short term retreats, accommodations and etc.
