    The Five Tseringma Empowerment Puja

    We had the honour of Very Venerable Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, who
    during the course of his visit in Hong Kong, came to our Centre on
    Saturday, 17 May 2008 and officiated The Five Tseringma Empowerment
    Puja.
About Very Venerable Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche
    The Five Tseringma (The Five Sisters
    of Longevity)are the five sisters who
    were subjugated by Guru
    Padmasambhava in the 8th century
    and became a vowed protectors for
    Buddhism.  They are also the private
    protectresses of great master
    Milarepa.

    Amongst the five wisdom dakinis:
the main one in the centre is Tashi Tseringma, who is
white in colour, bestows longevity;
in the east is Ting gyi Shal Zangma who is blue colour,
bestows clairvoyance;
in the south is Miyo Lozangma who is yellow in colour,
bestows provisions;
in the west is Chopen Drinzangma who is red in colour,
bestows wealth; and
in the north is Tekar Drozangma who is green in colour,
bestows good fortune.
