Lama Sonam, Khenpo Kunga and Lama Dawa visited Malaysia in May 2007 to propagate Buddha Dharma. Khenpo Kunga in collaboration of the month of Sagadhawa.
This is the month of the three great occasions of Buddha: birth, enlightenment and nirvana. Merit generates during this period multiplies a million times, therefore it is very auspicious to pursue this virtuous Dharma activity.
The Nyung Nye Retreat was held on 11-14 May at Mui Yam See Temple in Semabok of Melaka. The event was participated by many Dharma friends.
The Nyung Nye Retreat is a fasting practice of the Thoursand Arms and Thousand Eyes Chenrezig, it is a great way to purify past negative karma as well as accumulate merit.
The Retreat works in pairs of 2 days, during which participants are required to undertake vows of certain precepts. There are also times when participants are not allowed to eat or drink, they spend the 2 days reciting prayers, chanting mantras and dharani, doing prostrations, and listening to Dharma talks. A complete cultivation of the mind that accumulates immeasurable merit.
