Mahakala Pujas and various dharma activities are usually organsied before the Chinese New Year to remove obstacles and culminate adversity before we usher in the New Year.

2007 Chinese New Year Celebrations - Mahakala Puja (three days) - Ceremony of offering the mandala to the throne of H.H. Gyalwang Karmapa and Ven. Gyalpo Rinpoche - Jambala Puja
The 2007 Chinese New Year pujas and celebrations was conducted by Lama Sonam and Lamas of the Centre. The Mahakala Puja started on 16th Feb 2007, two days prior to the arrival of the Lunar New Year.
Stepping into the first hour of Chinese Lunar New Year, Lama Sonam conducted the ceremony of offering the mandala to the throne of H.H. Gyalwang Karmapa and Ven. Gyalpo Rinpoche. On the first day of Lunar New Year, the Jambala Puja was held.
